Settings

The application settings menu can be found behind the gear (⚙️) symbol in the top right corner of the screen.

Music

Here you can turn the background music off or on by moving the slider (next to the music note) to the left or right. This setting does not affect sounds in any of the exercises.

Language

You can change the user interface language under the Language menu item. Changing the user interface language has no effect on curriculum language (please see the setting for Curriculum Language if you want to change the language being learned).

Curriculum Language

Here you can change the language of the learning content, i.e. the language being used. Currently the available languages are English and Finnish. Enter your password and choose your preferred language from the drop-down menu.

Access All Materials

This is an educator mode where all the content is available and the progress isn't saved or tracked. This mode was specifically designed for teachers and educators to be able review the learning content. You will need to enter your password to access the Access All Materials mode.

You can return to the normal mode by clicking the back button in the top left corner.

Set the Playtime

Under the Set play time menu item you can change the playtime for the selected group of students.

When play time is set for a group, you can check a student’s remaining time during a study unit by pressing the clock icon in the bottom right corner. Play time only runs during a study unit, not in the menu screen.

When a student has used up the play time, they can finish their current study unit but not start a new one. If they try to start a new study unit, their chosen Moomin character pops up on the screen and waves them goodbye.

The avatar of students who have already used up their daily playtime will show up as gray with a green edge in the group view. Those who have played on the day but still have playtime left will show up in color with a green edge. And those who haven’t played on the day will show up in color with a white edge.

One student, Bob, has already used their daily playtime. Sniff has used some but not all of their daily playtime. The others haven’t used any of their daily playtime.

Privacy Policy

When you select the Privacy Policy item in the settings menu, you will be redirected to our privacy policy page.

You can go back the the menu by clicking on the cross mark symbol in the right corner.

About

When you select the About option in the menu, you see what version of Moomin LS application is currently installed on your device.

Sign out

When you want to sign the current user out of the application, select Sign out in the menu. If you have signed out of the application, you are prompted to retype your login name and password on the sign in page.
