Giới thiệu

Chào mừng đến với Moomin Language School, dịch vụ học ngôn ngữ công nghệ giúp trẻ nhỏ học ngoại ngữ! Trang này sẽ giúp bạn bắt đầu.

Moomin Language School gồm hai phần chính: ứng dụng học tập và tiết học vui. Mỗi ngày học viên tự tập luyện với ứng dụng học tập, bạn có thể xem giáo án và các thầnh phần để tổ chức tiết học vui mỗi tuần trong công cụ online của chúng tôi (Webtool). Ở đó, bạn cũng có thể quản lý các nhóm học sinh và xem báo cáo tiến độ học tập của học sinh từ ứng dụng. Nếu bạn muốn, bạn cũng có thể cho phụ huynh quyền truy cập vào xem tiến độ của con.

Thông tin tài khoản

Chúng tôi sẽ tạo thông tin tài khoản cho bạn sau khi bạn đã đăng ký trải nghiệm miễn phí. Bạn sẽ nhận một email chứa tên đăng nhập và đường link tạo mật khẩu.

Tạo mật khẩu

  1. Mở email có tựa “Welcome to Moomin Language School”. Email này chứa tên đăng nhập và đường link để tạo mật khẩu.
  2. Khi bạn bấm vào đường link, bạn sẽ được điều hướng đến một trang web và được yêu cầu chấp nhận Terms of Service và Privacy Policy của chúng tôi.
  3. Để tạo mật khẩu, hãy nhập mật khẩu 2 lần và bấm vào nút “set password”.

Tạo tài khoản học sinh

Trước khi bắt đầu sử dụng ứng dụng, bạn cần tạo tài khoản cho học sinh. Để tạo, bạn cần đăng nhập vào "Webtool" là nền tảng để tạo và quản lý học sinh, nhóm, giáo viên và tổ chức.

  1. Vào website này từ trình duyệt web: https://tools.moominls.com
  2. Điền tên đăng nhập và mật khẩu bạn đã tạo ở phần trước.

Tạo lớp

  1. Sau khi đăng nhập, chọn ORGANIZATION từ thanh menu ở đầu trang.
  2. Ở trang tiếp theo, bạn sẽ thấy tất cả các nhóm (lớp) hiện tại bên dưới mục Groups.
  3. Để tạo một lớp mới, bấm vào trường Create group (bên trái), điền tên lớp và bấm phím Enter trên bàn phím.

Điều chỉnh trình độ bắt đầu

Moomin Language School có 4 trình độ bắt đầu để các học sinh đã có kiến thức với ngôn ngữ đó cũng có thể học. Trình độ mặc định là Trình độ 1, dành cho học sinh chưa từng có kiến thức gì với ngôn ngữ đó.

  1. Để đổi trình độ bắt đầu của một lớp, trước hết hãy vào lớp.
  2. Thanh trượt điều chỉnh trình độ có thể tìm thấy ở dưới mục Advanced actions.
  3. Bấm vào nút có hình dấu chấm hỏi (?) sẽ cho phép bạn xem lại miêu tả về trình độ để bạn cso thể chọn trình độ bắt đầu phù hợp với học sinh của mình.
  4. Sau đó, hãy dùng thanh trượt để chọn trình độ bắt đầu của cả lớp.

Thêm học sinh

  1. Đi đến ORGANIZATION ở thanh điều hướng trên cùng, sau đó đến phần Groups ở phía bên trái.
  2. Chọn lớp bạn muốn thêm người dùng. Bấm vào nút Students để xem tất cả học sinh trong lớp.
  3. Bấm vào nút hình dấu cộng (+) để tạo học sinh mới trong lớp, hoặc bấm vào nút nhiều dấu cộng chồng lên nhau để tạo nhiều học sinh cùng lúc.

    Nếu bạn tạo nhiều học sinh cùng lúc, tên của các học sinh này chính là tên đăng nhập vào ứng dụng. Bạn có thể thay tên mặc định này bằng tên thật của học sinh bằng cách bấm vào nút hình cây bút chì và thay tên đăng nhập bằng tên thật của các con.

Cung cấp thông tin đăng nhập cho phụ huynh

Nếu bạn muốn cung cấp thông tin đăng nhập để phụ huynh có thể truy cập vào báo cáo học tập trên web và/hoặc ứng dụng trên thiết bị di động, bạn có 2 lựa chọn:

  • Credentials through the parent's email
  • Student account password

We recommend that you use the Credentials through the parent's email -method if you know the email addresses of the students' parents. However, if you don't know the parents' email addresses, you can use the latter method. Please see the detailed instructions for both cases below (tap on the arrow icon to open the section).

  1. Go to ORGANIZATION in the top menu bar.
  2. Using the navigation bar on the left side, navigate to the group where the student is whose parent's email address you want to add.
  3. Click "Students" to see all the students in the group.
  4. Find the student whose parent’s email address you want to add. Click on the pencil icon on the top-right corner of the student profile.
  5. In the pop-up dialog that opens up, add the parent's email address to the field titled "Parent's e-mail".
  6. Click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the dialog.

Once completed, our system sends the parent's email address a welcome message that contains the parent's login name and a link to setting their password.

Currently you can only have one email address associated with each student account.

  1. Under ORGANIZATION, using the navigation bar on the left side, navigate to the group where the student is whose password you want to reset.
  2. Click "Students" to see all the students in the group.
  3. Click on the lock icon to reset the student password(s).
  4. Select the student whose password needs to be reset and click RESET next to the student's login name. The new (reset) password will be displayed where the RESET button was located.
  5. After selecting and resetting the needed passwords, write down or copy the password(s) - you will not be able to see the passwords after closing the pop-up window!
  6. Click "I have written down the passwords" to close the pop-up window.

Add Teachers to Groups

  1. The teachers have been created by the Moomin Language School team and can be found in the No Group section.
  2. To add a teacher to a group, just drag and drop them to the right group.

Depending on the operating system of your device and your location, please see the respective app install instructions below (tap on arrow icon to open the section). Mở bài học hàng ngày

Khi bạn đã đăng nhập, bạn sẽ thấy các nhóm mà bạn là giáo viên (bạn có thể thêm mình vào các nhóm với tư cách là giáo viên trong Webtool). Nếu bạn chỉ có một nhóm, bạn sẽ tự động được hiển thị là sinh viên của nhóm đó.

  1. Nhấp vào biểu tượng của nhóm để xem tất cả học sinh trong nhóm đó.
  2. Để bắt đầu học, hãy chọn một học sinh và nhấp vào biểu tượng của họ. Bạn sẽ được chuyển đến chế độ xem tuần của học sinh đó.
  3. Học sinh được hướng dẫn đến bài tập hàng ngày mới nhất có sẵn (Bài học Hàng ngày).

We don't want students to play too much, which is why only one daily exercise becomes available each day. The exercises need to be done in order, so the exercises after the day’s exercise will have a lock on them. If the student is behind their group, another exercise will become available once the previous exercise is done, until they reach the rest of their group or until their playtime runs out. If a new exercise doesn’t become available, it means that the student has done all the available exercises for the day - they will have to wait until the next day for new exercises. Set the Playtime

The application includes a playtime to ensure that the students don't play for too long. Once the student's playtime is up, they cannot do any more exercises in the application that day.

  1. In the group menu, select the group of students that you want the playtime to be set.
  2. To change the playtime, go to the Settings (the cog in the top right corner) and click "Set play time".
  3. The default time is 5 minutes. You can also choose 10 or 15 minutes, or turn the limit off completely with the “Unlimited” option. Note that the time limit should not be turned off except under special circumstances.

Setting the playtime affects all student accounts in the group! If you want some students to have more playtime, you can e.g. divide your students into two different groups (in the Webtool).

Playful Lessons

To find the playful lesson plans, go to LESSONS in the top navigation bar in the Webtool. Some lessons have both in-person and online versions. Before the actual lesson instructions, there is a Preparation section. This section lists all the materials needed for that specific playful lesson. Most of the materials are commonly found in kindergartens, such as toys, crayons and paper. Any materials specific to Moomin Language School are included as printable PDFs.

In the preparation section you can also find a description of the week's vocabulary and pedagogical content. This is not a “to do” list for the teacher, just an overview so the teacher knows what kinds of things the children start to practice each week. Children are not expected to master these topics in a week.

The lesson itself is divided into three parts:

  1. Circle time

    2. The Circle Time section has instructions for activities at the beginning of the playful lesson to welcome and include each child into the group. At the beginning of each activity, there is a list of all the materials needed in that specific activity. Instructions for each activity are found under the Instructions header.

  2. Theme

    3. The Theme section includes instructions for activities that deal with the week’s theme in a versatile way. Like in the instructions for the circle time activities, instructions for these theme activities include a materials list, instructions for the activity, and other useful information.

  3. Goodbye

    4. The Goodbye section includes instructions for the ending of the playful lesson. The ending is always the same: there is first a Goodbye rhyme, and then children are given stickers or stamps as a reward for their participation.

Individual games include the estimated duration, list of materials, and step-by-step instructions. The instructions are very detailed to support teachers who are not yet be confident in their teaching skills. If you are an experienced teacher, you can make modifications based on you experience and knowledge of the children in your group – you know best what works for your child group.

Songs, rhymes and stories include recordings. This way teachers don’t need to sing themselves or read out loud if they don’t feel comfortable doing so.

Many games also include recordings of words and phrases that teachers might need in the game. This is to support teachers in using English during the sessions.

Many games have a tips section. These include tips and suggestions on how to modify the games and activities if needed, and what to keep in mind during the games.

Each game includes a pedagogy explanation. These explanations tell the teacher what kinds of language skills and other skills children learn with each game. They also explain how certain kinds of games support children’s learning.

Playful lessons can be organized in two different ways: 1. You can organize one full playful lesson once a week (approx. 30-45 minutes depending on the group), where you go through the whole lesson from Circle Time to Theme and Goodbye. 2. You can divide the playful lesson into several smaller entities throughout the week by choosing 1-2 activities at a time. You can use the different sections as a suggestion (circle time activities in the morning, goodbye activities at the end of the day), but you are not required to do so.
